Potato pre-heater

For an efficient cutting process

In the French fries industry in particular, potatoes are preheated. This contributes to the cutting process. The potatoes are transported through the pre-heater in approximately 40 minutes, and preheated to the core.

The preheating changes the molecular structure of the potato. As a result of this change, the potato is easier to cut and the cutting surface is smoother and more attractive. The technique, size and version of the pre-heaters are a nice example of the wide deployability of our well-known auger techniques. DTS constructs pre-heaters up to a diameter of 3,000 mm.
